About Glasgow South Credit Union!

Glasgow South Credit Union Limited is a financial co-operative owned by its members. Planned in 1999, the founders received training, support and advice from other neighbouring Glasgow credit unions and in 2002 was registered entity with the new Financial Services Authority. 

Membership of Glasgow South Credit Union is available to people who live or work in the Gorbals or Toryglen areas, or any tenant of New Gorbals Housing Association. 

The credit union is operated and managed by the nominated and elected board of directors, voted in by them at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), along with a pool of volunteers and staff who support us with the day-to-day running of the organization.

We pride ourselves on the saving and borrowing services that we offer to our community and offer a service for local people to save and borrow at an affordable rates.
